🇺🇦🇷🇺🇺🇸 Ukraine sets conditions for energy truce

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was ready to halt strikes on Russia if allies secured a genuine Russian commitment not to attack its critical infrastructure.

US President Donald Trump had claimed that the two countries had agreed to stop attacking each other's energy infrastructure, without providing details.

Russia had not immediately commented on that claim, while President Zelenskyy said he was awaiting concrete proposals from Ukraine's partners.

President Zelenskyy said Russian attacks were hitting energy facilities, ports, logistics networks and food and pharmaceutical warehouses daily.

He described a halt to attacks on critical infrastructure as a possible first step towards peace.
