🇺🇸🇮🇱 Trump blasts Netanyahu over Lebanon escalation
US President Donald Trump sharply rebuked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a phone call on Monday, with sources familiar with the exchange telling Axios that Trump told Netanyahu he was "f***ing crazy" and warned that "everybody hates Israel" because of its recent actions.
The White House has not publicly confirmed or commented on the reported exchange.
Trump acknowledged Israel's right to defend itself following Hezbollah attacks, but US officials said he viewed Netanyahu's recent conduct as disproportionate, citing civilian casualties and the targeting of buildings to reach individual commanders.
The call came as Israel expanded military operations in Lebanon, with officials expressing concern the escalation could undermine ongoing US negotiations with Iran.
