1️⃣ 🇮🇱🇵🇸 Gaza strikes continue after Hamas disarmament deal: At least 13 people including several children were killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza City, Khan Younis and Deir el-Balah, a second successive night of attacks days after Hamas accepted a plan to hand its weapons to President Donald Trump's Board of Peace. Energy Minister Eli Cohen said no deal had been reached to stop the strikes and argued the strip should come under full Israeli control if Hamas does not disarm.
2️⃣ 🇺🇦🇷🇺 Ukraine hits Russian bomber base and refinery: President Volodymyr Zelensky said overnight strikes hit the Engels airfield, one of the main bases for Russia's strategic aviation, and an oil refinery in the Saratov region some 600km from the border. Russia said eight people were killed and 635 drones intercepted, and reported another strike on a Wildberries warehouse, while Moscow's own attacks hit two Ukrainian ports and the retailer Rozetka's largest depot.
3️⃣ 🇪🇸🇲🇦 Report says Spain was warned before Ceuta surge: Military and civilian intelligence sources told the outlet The Objective that Madrid received repeated alerts in the days before between 60,000 and 75,000 people crossed from Morocco, the largest such crisis in the enclave's history. The government denies it, with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez calling the crossing "a violation of Spain's territorial integrity" and the Interior Ministry describing cooperation with Rabat as "exemplary."
4️⃣ 🇺🇸🇨🇳 US bans Chinese-made humanoid robots: The Federal Communications Commission barred new imports of foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots along with power inverters, citing cybersecurity and supply chain risks, in a move aimed at China's roughly 85% share of the humanoid market. Beijing accused Washington of protectionism and said it would take "all measures necessary," weeks before Xi Jinping's planned September visit.
5️⃣ 🇭🇺 Hungary shuts its only nuclear plant as the Danube drops: Prime Minister Péter Magyar warned of "the most critical five days ahead" as the Paks plant, which generates about half the country's electricity, runs at just over 10% capacity before a full shutdown. He said voluntary cuts by households and more than 300 companies had reduced demand by 400MW, and that the plant could remain inactive for weeks.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump says Iran talks start Monday
President Donald Trump said new talks with Iran will begin today after calling off what he described as "massive" strikes, telling reporters aboard Air Force One that "we're talking to them in the form of a negotiation. It begins tomorrow afternoon."
He said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, along with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, had urged him not to strike over the weekend, adding: "There's a deal on Hormuz, and there will be a deal on the nuclear."
Iran's foreign ministry said it has no plans to receive a US delegation or send Iranians to Washington, with earlier talks having been run through mediators, and the semi-official Mehr news agency again dismissed Trump's account as "nothing but a new lie."
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi separately said negotiations with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz were "on track for finalisation," according to Iranian media.
