Neither agency named a culprit, and Minnesota's IT agency said attribution requires careful analysis and that federal partners are best placed to lead it.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Hormuz deal could land within days

President Donald Trump said an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could come "tomorrow or the next day", as Iran and Oman moved towards a plan under which ships would enter the Gulf through an Iranian-controlled route and leave through one controlled by Oman, with service fees charged for security and environmental protection, two regional officials told the Associated Press.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said there was "a chance we may have a deal today or tomorrow," while Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed progress "but not finality yet."

Iran's foreign ministry says its talks are only with Oman, focused on lanes that "uphold sovereign rights," and Trump has publicly ruled out tolls, saying "anybody's going to charge, we'll charge."

Brent crude slipped 1.2% to $78.43 on the prospect of shipping resuming through a waterway that once carried a fifth of the world's oil and gas.

Attacks continued regardless, with the Houthis claiming missile fire at a Saudi tanker in the Red Sea, an Indian-flagged ship sunk off Yemen, and a cargo vessel struck by an unknown projectile near Al Khasab.
