🇸🇦 🇾🇪 Airlines suspend Riyadh flights after Houthi attack claim

Airlines suspended flights to Riyadh after explosions were heard in the Saudi capital and Yemen's Houthis claimed an attack on King Khalid International Airport.

Witnesses reported a large blast at the airport, where outgoing flights were stopped.

Lufthansa Group halted services to Riyadh until 16 October, while Air India cancelled flights until 10 October.

The Houthis warned airlines against operating in Saudi airspace, describing it as a theatre of military operations.

A Saudi-led coalition spokesman said two ballistic missiles over Riyadh and another near Khamis Mushait had been destroyed.
